Tee Ball Division (COED)
The Major 70 division is the most competitive division and is intended to for players with the greatest playing ability. This division also works to provide more advanced skills and helps players transition to the game of "real" baseball with 70-foot base paths, 50-foot pitcher's mound, balks, lead-offs, etc. This division is open to players 10, 11, and 12 years old. Players 10 years old must meet the requirements of the by-laws before they will be allowed to play in the Major-70 division. The Board of Directors sets the number of Major-70 teams based on registration figures. Each team is made up of no less than 12 players but no more than 15, a manager and two assistant coaches. Teams may play up to three games per week with a weeknight evening game ending about 9:30 pm. Generally there are two practices per week, depending on the coach.
The Major 60 division is intended to teach the players more advanced baseball skills and strategy while playing at a higher level of competition than the Minor division. This division is open to players 9, 10, 11, and 12 years old. Players 9 years old must meet the requirements of the by-laws before they will be allowed to play in the Major-60 division. Each team is made up of no less than 12 players, but no more than 15, a manager and two assistant coaches. Teams may play up to two games per week with a weeknight evening game ending about 9:30 pm. Generally there are two practices per week, depending on the coach.
The Minor division is intended to teach the players the fundamentals of the game while providing a transition from the Rookie division to the Minor division. Unlike the Rookie division, the Minor division has an umpire and score is kept with the win/loss record tracked for standing purposes. This division is open to players 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 years old. Players who are 11 years old must meet the requirements of the by-laws before they will be allowed to play in the Minor division. Each team is made up of no less than 12 players, but no more than 15, a manager and two assistant coaches. Teams may play up to two games per week with a weeknight evening game ending about 7:30 pm. Generally there are two practices per week, depending on the coach.
The Rookie division is intended to continue basic instructional training to young players, while allowing them to develop better batting and base-running skills. The emphasis of this division is learning the game and having fun, not competition. This division is open to players 6, 7, 8, and 9 years old. Each team is made up of no less than 12 players. The League Representative will determine the rosters and tryouts are not required. Teams may play up to two games per week with a weeknight evening game ending about 7:30 pm. Generally there are two practices per week, depending on the coach.
The Tee Ball division is the basic instructional division that introduces young players to the game. The emphasis of this division is learning the game and having fun, not competition. This division is open to players 4, 5, and 6 years old. Each team is made up of no less than 12 players. The League Representative will determine the rosters; tryouts are not required. Teams may play up to two games per week with a weeknight evening game ending about 7:00 pm. The coach looks for all the parents to help during games and practices with batting, base running and assisting children in and out of batting helmets, catcher's gear, etc. Generally there is one practice per week, depending on the coach.
